Good Luck from the harvard board!

A friend recently “took time off” from Michigan to pursue music. Everyone wished him “good luck,” when he told them. He told me that he wished people hadn’t said that, as if it were all hopeful wishing. He wished people wished him anything but “good luck.”

Though in this case, as fates have literally been sealed in envelopes, “good luck” may be most appropriate, I still opt for what I said to my friend: Godspeed, everyone.
