<p>I was listening to news radio on my way to work… wish I paid more attention than focusing on how ****ed off I was to be sitting in traffic because some moron ran out of gas on the freeway…</p>
<p>Anyways… I digress</p>
<p>They were discussing some report highlighting a dramatic increase in salaries for government jobs (finance) that were making them actually “competitive” with the private sector.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, that’s all I really caught of the segment. Maybe when I’m not so tired I’ll go dig up some more info. </p>

<p>One of my sisters works for Paul Hastings (large firm). Apparently they were laying off even some of the partners. So it’s definitely not recession proof. My other sister whose in law school currently barely managed to get a 1L summer associate internship. The majority of her class was not so lucky.</p>
