<p>UCSB has been on and off the list, mostly due to cost and possible party reputation but as you say, parties are everywhere. The CCS program at UCSB definitely is something to consider but while UCSD may be affordable due to being a commuter, I think UCSB will be out of reach though my son’s never looked into what kinds of scholarships might be available.
