<p>At places like WPI, RIT, etc. (in science, math, and engineering) I think about 50% of the students have SATs math minus verbal that differ by more than 50 points and 25% that differ by more than 100 points. About 50% have math scores ABOVE 650, 25% have math scores ABOVE 700. On the other hand, 33% have verbal scores BELOW 550 and 67% have verbal scores BELOW 600. (approximately) This is what someone told me who works at a university.</p>
