Google BOLD Internship 2012

all these replies aren’t for the FRESHMAN program is it? because the site tells me to check back in spring 2012 for application info.

any updates from anyone?

Have not heard anything but still another 2 months before decisions. It’s like waiting to hear back from colleges all over again!

Same here – still nothing …
I’m a bit worried because I feel like everyone who got an internship last year already heard back by this time.

what departments did you guys put as your preferences? I think it varies with departments!

Well I put I am flexible with location and position.

Has anyone had more than one interview?

I have had one phone interview with the Legal Removals Department, I am still waiting to hear back on my second phone interview

I applied for the Public Policy internship, and just had my 2 phone interviews. Hoping to make it to Mountain View. Any other public policy people out there?

I applied for Marketing. Had my second round interview couple days ago (it was a phone interview… weird?) Rejected… as of 5 minutes ago. AURGHH

BUT GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE!!

And if you have any questions about what they ask, etc, feel free to PM me :)

Just talked to my recruiter and they said I should hear back early next week on if I am moving forward. I only had one phone interview however which is weird, because you are supposed to have two. I am interviewing with the Legal Removals Department

did you guys who have heard back ever email them for your status? I know on the site it says they can’t give status updates until May but I applied before the priority deadline and still haven’t heard back. Is this normal?

I applied before the priority deadline as well and haven’t heard anything back. Can’t speak for anyone who has already heard back but I think it is normal.

I encourage anyone that follows this forum to please post if they have heard back and post as much detail as possible. Account takes like 30 seconds to set up

I applied back in December and I have yet to hear anything back either.

Kind of odd.

I interviewed with Marketing almost 4 weeks ago and still nothing after first 2 phone interviews

I haven’t heard back as well. I applied before the priority deadline as well. Hopefully we here back soon.

Does anyone have thoughts on final interviews being conducted via phone versus on-site? What is google’s reasoning? My final interview was just rescheduled from next week on-site to this Friday via phone. I am interviewing for product marketing division btw.

No clue, best of luck. Please update us

I feel sort of obligated to post on this thread. I’m very passionate about Google and their BOLD program. I personally know the recruiting director for the BOLD and have met her twice through campus visits.

From what I know the recruitment process for different departments run at different times. I know people have received rejection letters already.

I recently talked to one of my colleagues who did the internship last year and said that “You’re in a good position if you didn’t recieve a rejection letter” I believe that the BOLD internship is STRICTLY for underrepresented as it says.

They recruit at a lot of historically black colleges and universities(HBCU). She told me that she would call me next week for an interview so…

If you have any questions for me feel free to email me at ryankrucker@**********. I’m new to here so it may take me a little longer to reply if you respond on here.

Anybody that applied to sales get a response yet?
