hey! I applied on August and got my supplemental. A couple people did get outright rejections
Did all of you guys submit a cover letter? I’m wondering if its even worth it because they get so many applications
@basjhb I did! I chose to write a personal one specific to google, as opposed to my stock one I normally use. Figured it couldn’t hurt.
Anxiously waiting for interview offers to start rolling out.
I wrote a cover letter too on the off chance that they actually read it.

@basjhb I had a reference, so I was able to apply through his referral link. I’m truthfully not so sure how much it helps.
I applied with 2 referrals within the first few hours of the application opening in september. I also wrote a custom cover letter.
i know its gonna sound dumb but i havent even submitted my application yet because im so scared… lol i got everything ready i just cant get myself to press submit

@basjhb I didn’t submit a cover letter for the same reason, but I don’t think you could go wrong by submitting one!!
I didn’t have any connections at Google, but I’ve made a pretty serious effort to connect with past BOLD interns and current employees on LinkedIn.

Yep!! @dancerdancer1111 I applied the morning the application opened.
@dancerdancer1111 I applied during the brief August window the applications were open. I got my supplemental third week of September I believe.

So I’m pretty sure we are about to start getting interviews for those who applied in the 1st application process. I emailed the lady who sent my package and my link for our transcripts and application on google doc has been opened and viewed by people who work at google. Actually when I went to click on the link they were actively scrolling through
@wildcat90 Thats crazy. For whatever reason I’m unable to see who’s viewed my doc, but I’m sure interviews will be rolling out soon then. That’s probably a good sign for you though! Let us know if you get an interview offer. Everywhere I look it says the interviews won’t being until November but last years thread had some people getting some in October.
