Google Chrome- Much Faster?

romani, if you’re using Chrome, there’s a free extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd</a>) that creates an IE-spoofing tab within Chrome. It fools the website into thinking it’s talking to IE (which it actually is, under the covers).

I’ve never used the Windows version. The Android version (Opera Mini; there are actually two Opera browsers for Android) works well, at least for me. Loads fast and a lot more functional than the pre-installed browser on my Galaxy S.

And some people (mea culpa) also run their browsers alongside a bunch of other memory-intensive applications. When you’ve got InDesign and Photoshop and Word and Excel and three or four other programs open, you don’t appreciate a browser that takes up 800 meg.

Safari has one of thos spoofing extensions too. It’s the only way I couldfilloutthe Fafsa.

I am on a Mac and used to mostly use Firefox but it kept quitting on me. I’ve been using Chrome constantly and never had issues with it. I love Chrome so much.

When Chrome first came out, I was astounded at how much faster it was than IE. Microsoft is always playing from behind. I just go with leader and the leader is clearly Google Chrome.

Bing is a search engine made by thieves. I fail to see why any rational honorable person would want to use Bing.

Bing is nice in that it returns far fewer garbage links.

Google is pretty loose when it comes to copying stuff from others and they’ve been sued many times for it.

"One of the most immediate effects of Steve Jobs’ legacy on Apple is an animosity towards Google fueled by what Jobs saw as the outright copying of iOS by Android. "

“Three authors filed suit against Google yesterday contending that the company’s program to create searchable digital copies of the contents of several university libraries constituted “massive copyright infringement.””

"The lawsuit, filed in United States District Court in Manhattan, is the first to arise from the Google Print Library program, the fledgling effort aimed at a searchable library of all the world’s printed books. "

“Newspapers in Belgium want Google to pay for copyright infringements since a Belgian court ruled that the search engine violated copyrights by reprinting headlines and sentences on Google News.”

"Members of the Belgian press are seeking about $77 million in damages for use of the material. Google launched its news page service in Belgium in 2006. Soon after, papers there sued the company to stop it from linking to their articles. "

Yeah, apparently the mantra is, “Don’t do evil - at least the way we define evil.”

Switched to Chrome yesterday after reading this…love it–faster and cleaner as others have said.

anyone have any thoughts on Chrome vs. Safari?

Bing paid me $237 to buy my son’s laptop a few years ago (the model I ordered had a 40% cash back promotion going on through Bing at the time).

Everytime I use Opera, it crashes.

Everytime I use Chrome, I feel the eyes of Google/SkyNet watching everything.

Everytime I use Bing, I feel like information is being withheld.

Everytime I use Internet Explorer I feel like viruses will bring down the OS at any moment.

It’s Firefox, or Fight.

I just got a Macbook Pro last week so am using Safari. There are some things I miss from Firefox, but getting used to it. I tried Chrome when Firefox started crashing on my old PC laptop. It was great for a while but then I started experience the same problems as I did with Firefox. I was never able to conquer the unrelenting unresponsive script messages.
