Your situation isn’t the same, but it’s similar to [this thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/florida-state-university/1169335-got-call-admissions.html).

I don’t suggest that you look feverishly at off-campus housing YET. I do recommend that you keep it in mind that you may not get any on-campus housing, and that you may be left having to scramble, so do some research and start looking, maybe start calling around to places you might be interested in to see if they have any places that have leases ending in December/might be open for the Spring.

My best guess though is that if you get on-campus housing, it’s most likely going to be in Rogers Hall. You will pretty much be left with whatever is available- as someone who is entering in the 2nd semester- when the only way spots open up is if people successfully petition the school to get out of housing contracts or they graduate/flunk out (not including Rogers Hall, which is month-to-month and different than other on-campus housing)- you really are limited in what is available. You might get lucky and get a really good selection. You might get a really bad pick. You might not get on-campus at all.

If you can afford to do so, I would apply to other colleges. There’s really no harm in doing so (aside from application fees), and on the off-chance that FSU denies you, at least you have a back-up.
