Got My Loa

Hi, I’m new here to college confidential, but I’ve been reading the posts here for a couple of days, and I love it. I too applied to the Air Force Academy, and I too am a fanatic, hahaha. I thought I was just about the wierdist kid in the world to continually check an application status page that I know won’t change…but I’m glad I’m amongst others who do it to!

Patriot CPM…are you also applying for a nomination from McNulty? I noticed your location was Delmar, and the deadline you mentioned was the same as McNulty…Delmar is in the 21st district of New York, right? Congragulations on your LOA…I’m driving myself crazy here just waiting for any little morsel of news at all…Oh, I’m from Cobleskill New York, in Schoharie County, about 45 mintues away from Albany…nice to see another Academy hopeful from this area!

Also, I don’t want to sound like a newbie here…which I probably will, despite my best efforts, but what will the Academy think of a sub-par math grade? The Academy is my dream, and I’ve pretty much killed myself over it the past few years, but I haven’t always done the hottest in math. I mean, my extracurriculars are there…I fly, play sports (three of them, captain too), have gone to Boys State, the Summer Seminar, do traveling sports, etc. etc. etc., but my 75 math grade has dragged my GPA down to a 3.3…any thoughts on whether this will affect my chances? Once again, forgive me for one of those “so you all think I’ll get in posts?”, but I just wanted some feeback…and I know this is one hell of a long post, didn’t mean to write a novel either…

Regardless, I love this site, I’ve loved reading all that you have had to say about it, and I hope I can post some quality stuff myself with some people who love the Academy as much as I do!
