Grad Student for Fall 2010--Help with off campus apt.

I think it is a shame that Pitt has so little housing for seniors and grad students. But the good news is that March is a great time to be looking. By the end of the month, the selection will be much reduced.

My daughter just rented a place in Shadyside for next year. The leases start in August, from what I have seen. North Oakland and Squirrel Hill are also good areas. For safety reasons, I would avoid a ground floor unit.

Most apartments will be unfurnished though.

Here are some resources:

Anyone can access this list.

For this one, your son needs to use his Pitt password to gain access:

Here are some apartment buildings my daughter saw and liked:

In Shadyside, a beautiful area, and all utilities are included:
[Meyer’s Management | Building Details](http://www.meyersmanagement.com/building.php?id=1)

A bit more expensive, but very conveniently located on N. Craig Street within walking distance. And the apartments are large:

My daughter didn’t look at this one, but the location is great, and lots of Pitt kids and CMU kids live here:
[Webster Hall Apartments](<a href=“Web Page Under Construction”>Web Page Under Construction)

This one is pricey, but very very convenient. And furnished units are available:
[The Fairfax](<a href=“Web Page Under Construction”>Web Page Under Construction)
