[USC: Office of the University Registrar: Student Information](<a href=“University Registrar - University Registrar | University of South Carolina”>University Registrar - University Registrar | University of South Carolina) under grading will show you how letter grades convert to GPA. To see exactly what number grade equals letter grade I would look at the individual class syllabus. Some are standard 90-100 = A but I have seen scales where 85+ = A. I think it depends on whether professor factors a curve in before or after grade. Several of D’s math/CS classes used deviations. I’m pretty sure faculty are required to have the grading scale on the syllabus as well as the way assignments are weighted.
