Grades?

It’s tough. Just going from personal experience, I took AP Biology and AP Physics in high school, got As and 5s on the exam, and still had a tough time in the gateway courses Principles of Biology II and General Physics II. Lots of stressing and late nights. The classes are usually curved. I think you can take them pass/fail but if you want to go to med school, then you probably won’t want to do that.

There is minimal grade inflation. It isn’t like some of the humanities classes, where you can just slap together a 5 page paper the night before without much thought into it and still get a B. You earn what you get in these classes. I think the average grade for each class is around a B-/C+ (2.3/2.7), even with the curve. At least it was for BIO 182 and PHYS 116. So if you can maintain a 3.7, then that is pretty impressive.
