<p>Okay. I guess I am going to be the one guy here who will offer a defense of the school’s actions. Uh… you see… they… uh, well…, maybe it’s like… hmmmm.</p>
<p>I am sort of surprised that with all the questions about myspace and facebook for college admissions, this story hasn’t grown bigger legs. To me, this is a huge story.</p>
<p>I agree with father05. Many schools already attempt to warn students about being careful about what they post, generally with the warning that future employers can see what is posted. However, there are already a few schools that specifically state in their code of conduct that student postings can be evidence of student disciplinary violations; likewise there are others that specifically state that they recognize that these forums are public and outside the realm of the school’s authority and policies. I would expect a story like to heat up the debate.</p>
