Grandparents contributing ramifications

My question is would the school or government consider the $15k grandparent contribution as income and/or reduce the portion that says aid grant

@kelsmom @Mwfan1921 please clarify, but I believe these college payments by grands are no longer reported on the FAFSA…am I wrong about that?

And gifts are not considered income by the IRS.
