Great universities that accept a decent amount of transfer students

It depends on how bad your high school grades are. If you wait 2 years a lot of colleges won’t even look at them. I finished high school with a 2.8 and after 2 years at a really small college ended up getting accepted as a transfer student at Emory, Tulane, and Vanderbilt

I always recommend applying after one year if possible. Send “updates” showing good grades in the second semester (thats what I did). I personally didn’t think I would get into any of my transfer schools and I got into 3/4 of them and WL at the other.

Georgetown apparently accepts about 20% of transfers, what’s Georgetown like though? I know nothing about it, could someone give me a profile?

I wanna bump this beast.

How is Georgia Tech a private school?

^it’s not, they must’ve been mistaken

I know many people that have got into Northwestern as transfer students.

Arcadefire1027 – why would anyone want to take the time to post things you can sOOOOO easily look up yourself? Don’t use this site as an easy crutch for some basic net surfing on your own… do you not know how to look up what Georgetown is like?

Isn’t that a little like a job applicant sitting down for an interview and leading with …“so, what do you guys do here?”

No, this isn’t an interview, this is one of the places that I get information from for that interview.

what is a good college gpa to have to transfer?
