GWC Internship @ Iowa State 2013

There may be others, but these are the ones I applied to, because I was eligible for them.

In New Mexico/California, Sandia National Laboratory
You may find something more bio-related, or you may get other science-related research
It tells you to search SIP, but it’s better to search “HS” for high school.

In various parts of the country, mostly Virginia and Massachusetts, MITRE
These are IT internships only.

For those in NYC or immediately in the NY metro area:
internships of several kinds with NYC parks & recreation. There isn’t much lab work for the science people, but definitely some horticulture field work and data analytics available.

In Houston, Hewlett-Packard:
IT/analyst internship for high school students

It seems like these are not very suited to your interests, but you can give them a look anyway. I applied to the NYC one and received a reply (an internship offer also), within a week. Note that the NYC parks & recreation internship is also unpaid.
