Did one of you accepted transferee checked the admission info system online, does it still says “Under Review” ?

kitnkat03 I will indeed come up with something, deadlines for other schools may work just fine seeing as it is the truth, do I just call the admissions office?

@Salahbb - Yes mine still says under review and I received my acceptance a few weeks ago so just ignore the online status checker :)

yes just call the admissions office
good luck :)

Mine still says under review too.

But under my FA on GWeb they actually have my expenses calculated - that wasn’t there last week or earlier this week…

Aaaah so excited!!!

well i tried got this person who didn’t look up my g # or nothing I told them my story and said they could not tell me over the phone so im calling back after the mail comes.

Congrats FromWildcat2Hoya! Are you changing your username? FromWildcat2Colonial ? :)

Cruddy luck on the answering end Will. You’ll probably get someone entirely different this afternoon - good luck on your next call!

@Salahbb - back at ya!

oh! I just thought of a better one!

FromWildcat2Hippo!! awesome!

should i try again kitnkat or are they gonna get mad with me if they log the calls?

absolutely call again! Same thing I was thinking before applies now - what are they gonna do? Rescind your acceptance for showing too much interest? Its not like you’re cursing them out or anything. Plus, so many people call all day they probably won’t know its you again - especially since they didn’t even ask for your GW ID.

Also - don’t ask the person who answers the phone for a decision. Start the conversation easy - “Hi, I’m a transfer applicant looking for an update on the status of my application.” Then they’ll ask for your ID. If they don’t offer the information on your decision or letter first, ask them if a decision has been mailed. If they don’t know, ask to speak to someone. Ask them to transfer you to someone who might be able to give you “more information.” If necessary, tell them why. But don’t necessarily volunteer all the details unless it seems like they straight up aren’t going to transfer you to another person. You could even ask specifically for an admissions officer, if one is available. Go one step further - look up who is your regional rep on GW’s website and ask for them by name. If they aren’t there, ask if another admissions representative is available. Then tell that person your story. If you get a hard time, remind them that last week you were told to call for a decision today if you hadn’t received one. Period.

Also, don’t call at lunch time - there will be far fewer people there.

You’ll get an answer one way or another ;)
