<p>@sppedlightnin: The odds are stacked wayyyyy against you. A 3.3, the for most part, won’t get you into Berkeley. A 3.3 for Haas makes it virtually guaranteed that you won’t get in. Are there exceptions? Of course, there always are, but you have to play the odds. Haas (at least last year when my friend got in) accepted something like 15% of its applicants. That 15% represents the cream of the crop. Not only are you applying for the top UC school, but for the most competitive undergrad program at that school, and you’re doing it with a GPA that wouldn’t have gotten you into UCSD this year without TAG.</p>
<p>I try and be bluntly honest with people when they ask this question. By all means, apply, but your ECs aren’t unique and your GPA isn’t competitive.</p>
