We didn’ t have lots of kids- I was at book group ,but when I got home there was still candy left. ( and I did still get to see some trick or treaters)

Youngest son was grounded at Halloween a couple of years ago
Reminds me of one of the women in book group whose son was a little challenging in high school. One Halloween night, on his way out the door he asked " do we have any wire cutters?".

We don’t live in a “neighborhood”–more of a country road on the fringe of a small town–and we’ve never had a single trick-or-treater other than a few friends of my son’s stopping by with him before they all went over to the center of town. Last night I realized that I had no candy, panicked, and turned off most of the lights. (Of course, I actually do have truffles and the like, since that is my business, but since none of them are wrapped they’d probably just get tossed if I gave them out! )

Cutest costume awards went to a group of three 7 or 8 yr.olds trick-or-treating TOGETHER. The black boy was Obama, the white girl was Palin, and the white boy was McCain.
