I spent my kids’ school years getting up at five and then being unable to fall asleep before 1 or 2. I was seriously sleep deprived for 20 years. Now that they’re grown and I’m mostly retired I stay up till 2 or 3 and try to get up by 9 or 10. I try to go to bed earlier but 20 years of lying awake knowing I had to get up at 5 and would be tired all day took its toll. So I dont go to bed until I’m yawning and my eyes are watering. This is only a problem when there’s something I want to that requires getting up early. Sometimes I stay up all night so I can get wherever it is on time.
