physics c is definitely easier than B! u need cover less~ we use the same book for b and c! and by the time u get to c u already know most of the stuff ~ u just expand it more.

Hardestā¦: Hmm donāt know yet⦠I never took AP tests for the ones i wasnāt really prepared for. I would say science/math though⦠I took bio mock final and it was HARDDDD. I got 60 percent though and i think thatāll get me like a 3. Iām not taking it, obviously.

Although somebody claimed that AP studio art test was the easiest, I STRONGLY disagree. The WHOLE YEAR is a test where you have to prepare work⦠And then if you have a teacher like me who tries to cram everything in the end, its worse. NO, we donāt just send slides, we also actually send works as well⦠And we started taking slides and matting things 3 days prior to the test. We were VERY VERY behind. She expected us to finish two works every week 2nd semester because she didnāt plan things out right. ***? So so far, it has been quite diffcult for me. Iām glad iām done with that crapā¦

It is hard to get a fiveā¦I know an amazing artist and she still got a 4. But that was also because her Area of concentration was a bit weak. Her general works were FANTASTIC. Me on the other hand, is exact opposite according to my teacher⦠And i know another kid who draws some nice stuff but he got a 3⦠but heās better at photography than drawing.

I mean i would think you would only get a 5 if you are an amazing artist and you canāt study for that. People ask āHow do you judge art?ā But AP art graders are not dumb. They know the difference between Monet and 5 year old drawings. You can say āwhat about contemporary art?ā There are 3 different AP art tests. Contemporary go into AP Studio art 2D test, not AP studio art Drawing test which would be the tradition figure studies, etc. (Third test is 3D art) ⦠So yes, they can judge your art just fine.

Easiest: English LIT? I got a 4 on the mock and mocks usually reflect my grade well enough⦠also Environmental (i got 60 percent taking the test blindly in the beginning of the year. And then i got like 80 percent 2nd time around)

Hardest: Music Theory
Easiest: World History

Dear god, Physics C: E&M is by far the hardest (and Iāve taken a lot of 'em)

ummm, Studio Art is the easiest (unless youāre not born with supreme natural ability, in which case you will FAIL)

Statistics has to be the absolute easiestā¦I canāt imagine how awful my big-6 was last year and I still got a 4.

Easiest: Stats, Environmental Science, Hum Geo, World, Psych
Hardest: Physics C E&M, Physics C Mech, Calc BC, LANGUAGES

hey, uyulove, Iām in the same boat as you,

I wound up fabricating my concentration around the pieces I did throughout the year, and writing a convincing essay for it. I did this last year and got a 4, though my pieces are pretty good (National Silver key portfolio, $1000ās in contests, etc.)

The hardest for me right now is probably⦠oh, comparative government, seeing as I am totally unprepared. Had I started preparing earlier, it wouldnāt be awful. But oh well.

Easiest? AP Art History or Euro. Those arenāt bad at all.

Now, out of any of them, I would think Music Theory or Physics would be the absolute worst.

ā¦damn, the collegeboard is bound to use that last post against meā¦changes email accounts

This year is my first year to take AP exams. I took AP US history and AP biology. They both seem like easier than i have expected.

haha, before the Ap tests, i prepare for them like hellā¦and resulted that most of the things i reviewed arenāt even on the test.

oh well, i am just glad I am done with AP tests.

easiest: bio / calc bc / chem / psych
hardest: ush / eng / govt /econ / physics c

easiest~
AP Euro (I had a horrid teacher who didnt make us do anything during the year. for the prep I just did 6 REA tests. passed);
Chemistry ( I suck at chem but did quite well on the practice tests, dont know yet, though.)

Hardest:
AP Spanish ( The speaking sectionāouch!)
AP USH (My best subject, superb teacher but test was hard)

Medium
AP English Lang ( I felt so drained after the test but it wasnt that hard)

well, this is my first year taking AP tests and so far Ive taken 4 of them with only APES left to go.

Note: Iām only ranking the ones Iāve taken/will take from easiest to hardest

AP Human Geo: an absolute joke i started studying at 8 pm the night before and feel very confident about it (not in the class)
APES: test is on wednesday and just started studying, there might be some stuff I donāt know but Iāve already taken earth science, chem, and bio (not in the class)
AP World History: didnāt take the class but wow that was easy
AP US History: I really donāt understand why this is considered one of the hardest
AP Spanish Lang: horrible, excruciating, and tiring. btw im a native speaker. that helps you realize how difficult this test is. (i probably still got a 5 because of the fact all AP exams are curved and I know I did better on each section than most of the gringos and hueros who took it)

well, letās take a statistical approach to this question. hereās a list of all the ap tests. the percentage given is the percent that gets 5ās on the test every year, and the next number is the mean grade for all the scores. only 5 tests have percentages of 5 under 10% (eng. lit, eng. lang., env. science, us. gov., and us history), and the lowest mean grade belongs to environmental science, followed by us history/world history and then us government.

i suppose social sciences give most kids trouble, and of the sciences, environmental science seems to be the most challenging, although i think others on this board would jump to disagree with that.

Art History - 13.8% / 3.10
Biology - 18.2% / 3.02
Calculus AB - 20.7% / 2.94
Calculus BC - 43.9% / 3.73

Psychology - 19.2% / 3.14
Spanish Language - 20.4% / 3.26
Spanish Literature - 11.8% / 2.84

Studio Art - 11.8% / 3.02
United States History - 9.2% / 2.66
World History - 10.2% / 2.66

my personal take: iāve taken nine, 5 this year and 4 in the previous years. i got a 5 on english language (which has a surprisingly low % for 5ās), a 5 on calculus AB, a 5 on us history, and a 4 on european history. thatās why iād venture to say euro history was the hardest for me (excluding the spanish language test i took this year), an opinion that iām sure most people would jump to disagree with. my teacher for us was much better than euro, so that really dealt with why US was so much easier than euro. the hardest AP? well, itās all relative, thatās what i guess.

physics B gave me a run for my money today, and us government will be a pain in the ass tomorrow.

IRT: The statistics donāt reveal much about the actual difficulty of the course⦠not to be arrogant here, but the history courses tend to be taken by alot more kids at our school, and more around the nation. Because they donāt seem as self-selecting, they yield much lower pass rates or 5 rates because you have so many kids taking the classes, 100+ taking US History alone last year at our school⦠as compared to the single classroom for our Physics C class.

Ironically Iāve taken 5 AP tests, and gotten 4ās on all of them except for US History which I got a 5 on⦠I expect for this year Iāll have:

Calc AB: 4 (I feel confident, but Iāve been let down before)
English Lit: 3/4 (MC wasnāt that bad for me, but I feel like I might have really blown the essays, the last one was gawdawful for me, 5 is possible but not probably here)
European History: 4/5
Physics C: 3, Hail Mary for the 4!

Govāt: Practice Seems easy so far, did good in class, 4, possibly a 5?

Micro: No clue, did great in class, but have yet to understand the ābig pictureā behind it, some of the graphs still seems backwards to me.

Art History: oh godā¦

Anyways back to the topic>>>
Easiest: Any of the histories, or Psychology

History is just memorizing stuff, 50% if just memorizing lame facts, and the other 50% is inserting those same lame facts into highly formulaic writing that might as well be fill in the blank.
Psychology was a joke, nodded through class⦠learned the VERY basics a day or 2 before the test, got a 4⦠if I studied for any of my other courses (besides maybe the histories) like I did for Psych, I would have probably failed them, you can get away with anything in Psych and still pass IMO.

Hardest: AP Psyshics C (Mech, I didnāt do E&M⦠our school offers Physics C:Mech but no Physics B⦠so its straight from Physics PAP into an Physics C for us), generally agreed upon to be a hard*(# examā¦

Art History⦠if your teacher doesnāt teach for this thing, your pretty much screwed do to the lack of review-ability for this test, I got 3 major AP tests left and this one if bothering me more than Gov and Econ combined.

For me APUSH was by far the easiest and Chem was the hardest. It wasnāt so much that the material in chem was HARD but it was just getting caught up in the little details that made it a pain in the assā¦

out of the 4 iāve taken:
Hardest: Physics B
Easiest: Calc AB, US History
English Language was okay, i got a 4 so whatev : )

Iād have to say the easiest is Art History. I just slept in the class and whatever the teacher said seemed to stick in my head. Practice tests I got a 5 on and im pretty confident for the AP.

physics b was hell because it was an afternoon testā¦since i usually take my nap in the afternoon, i ended up falling asleep during the test.

Hardest: US History
Moderate: Macro Econ, Physics B
Easiest: Cal AB , Micro Econ

Hardest: AP Spanish Lang
Easiest: Calc AB, BC, US History & Euro History

iām a math & history person
