<p>There is no magic formula, specific set of classes, or type of essay to write to get in. While you are preparing for college, remember to take little breaks so you don’t burn out. I guess the biggest piece of advice I could give is show the admissions staff that you have exhausted all of your available resources in your community. They also want students with a personality–no college wants students with just numbers. Every student has a story–share that story, find yourself while in high school. Also, show passion for whatever you do…for instance, if you like social studies, you might be involved in ECs that reflect that classroom interest.</p>
