"Harvard bound teen keeps her eye on the prize" (news item)

i think people on this board are just waiting to have her in one of their classes and then crush her like a bug.

Soimehow, I get the impression she doesn’t crush easily.

My goodness. Assuming you consider yourselves fairly-intelligent creatures, it is incredible how you can’t wait to put down someone who is perhaps even more intelligent than you. One thing is wanting to succeed, but wanting to succeed and wishing that people around you fail simultaneously is just low. Why??? The girl is neither “obsessed” nor “obnoxious” - otherwise she would’ve tried to get an even higher score on her SATs. She’s determined and opinionated, unlike a couple of applicants I have come accross on this board.

As for the comment:
“Sorry, but with that SAT score she would be considered borderline ■■■■■■■■ at my high school.”
I’m speechless. FYI: SATs aren’t a measure of your intelligence - so u might want to revise your premise for arrogance.

Lastly, just notice that you’re devoting an entire thread to HER.

“I’m not exactly sure what she means by her comment about Condoleezza Rice and Mrs. Clinton. How is a female politician supposed to be “more feminine”?”

In condi’s case, she needs to be a little less ugly. lol

so does hilary…but she looked good back in the day, can’t say the same about rice.

man, that was totally crass and off-topic, and i apologize

i actually live 15 minutes away from her hometown: granby is very rural and small, and has relatively poor education. maybe that made her stand out more?
