My son did interview and 1580 at SAT . We never expect him getting in. He was admitted pomona and ucla ( other ucs) but he didnā€™t do anything special . If u have one address then it is good sign.

Has anyone tried making a Slate Counselor account? I did so myself and I could see my acceptance and denials to released schools. It says in progress for Harvard but decided for other schools that are also releasing today.

Just want to chime in here on the big day that if you donā€™t get in, itā€™s not a loss. My son is a current student and Harvard has been a massive disappointment. High on mediocre social climbing cynics and low on intellectual curiosity. Lots of students feel alienated and isolated there. It is certainly not the way it is portrayed in the brochures. Thereā€™s not much of a social scene there short of the final clubs and only about 10% of the student body belongs to those. Why only 10%? Because they are exclusive and most students who get in are either athletes or from very wealthy families. see https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/07/education/edlife/are-final-clubs-too-exclusive-for-harvard.html Iā€™d heard of Princetonā€™s eating clubs and it was such a turn off that I advised my son not to apply there. There is so much ugliness at Harvard, had I known about all that a I would have suggested he not apply.
