We haven’t received ours, but due to a confluence of circumstances, we filed late. We’ve been told, “We’ll get to you when we get to you.” I can’t really blame them in our case.

For us, award information just came out this morning in [Welcome to my.harvard](http://my.harvard.edu) Financial Service tab.
No emails or other notifications just yet.

I’m all set for graduation 2014 - Hotel - done! Airline Tickets - done! I managed to book Frequent Flyer airline tickets - so together with the Award nights for our hotel rooms - I saved $$$. (Patting myself on the back!!!) Now he better graduate ! Ha!

Congratulations Bubbe!!!

Received financial aid award notification today.
Not good. Anyone successful in asking FAO to reconsider aid award and receiving a positive outcome?

Oh, and congrats Bubbe! And, with saving $$$$ even better!! :)

Still haven’t received my daughter’s FA award.

@student4ever:): Was the award that different from last year? Did your family’s income increase dramatically? Are you certain you filled out the FAFSA and CSS Profile correctly? You could call the FAO and ask why the award was different from last year and see what they say.

@Gibby: Did you file the appropriate paperwork on time? Hope you don’t mind, I sent you a PM.

Yes. I checked my daugjtet’s myharvard account and it says “there are no missing documents” and “your FA hasn’t been finalized yet.”

Well, at least you know they have everything! Nothing else for you to do until the award comes through.

@student4ever, you should definitely appeal. We appealed when my daughter was starting college and my son was to be a senior, and they gave us a bunch more money. Appealing can’t hurt you - they aren’t going to take your FA away, so go ahead.

My D received her notification of financial aid on Friday. Great news for our family. We received more aid this year than last year. Our income remained the same but our oldest D will be attending vet school.

Do you know the schedule for the T/Subway of Boston on 11/27(Wednesday). I checked web site normal schedule will start around 5:30AM. Will the T/subway have earlier schedule for the college students go to airport? If does, how earlier? I would like to book the Thanksgiving ticket. Thanks!!

The “T” does not change their schedule for college students getting off for Thanksgiving/Christmas/Spring break. Trains start their schedule at 5:30am. If your student needs to get to the airport earlier, they will have to take a taxi.

thank you! If book 11/26 @5:00PM, can the student leave college by 2:30PM on Tuesday 11/26? Or I should wait to see the course schedule then to book?

You should wait until your child has their class schedule before making plane reservations. Last year, Harvard gave the kids the Wednesday off before Thanksgiving, but everyone had a full day of classes (up till 5pm) on Tuesday. Your student might, for example, have a Tuesday class that meets from 1:30pm to 3:30pm – so, it’s best to wait. BTW: Because the Thanksgiving break is short, many students stay on campus for the break. That’s especially true for international students and students from the west coast.

thank you! How hard to get the taxi at 4:00AM weekday?

I’ve never tried to get one at that hour, but I imagine it wouldn’t be difficult. You can call or book a taxi on-line from a number of companies. Here are two I found by using google:
[LOGAN AIRPORT SERVICE](http://www.harvardsquaretaxi.com/Page_3.php)
[Boston Coach, Airport Transportation, Boston Limousine](http://www.cambridgecar.com/)

In the past years, housing information has been released in late July. However, August is what the Harvard fdo informs when the information will be sent out. In your experience, when was housing info made known?

Harvard parents. I was wondering is there a not to miss professor or class that your kids have raved about? For instance like the happiness class?

You can get a cab at any time of day. Just make sure to call and reserve it in advance, and be outside the dorm at the time it is supposed to arrive.
