Harvard SCEA Class of 2020 Applicant Thread

Someone say something to cheer me up. I feel super down tonight idk why :frowning:

@tuty143 You’re awesome!

you guys are nice.

@tuty143 YOU are a beautiful butterfly that will one day (on Thursday) soar into a beautiful crimson meadow. YOU are the sun to my shine, the tut to my cahoot, and my vitamin c. YOU are freaking awesome, don’t forget that. internet hug

@james1998iq I agree wholeheartedly. I thought I was fine and just losing sleep bc of my odd habits until I realized ot was because the release date is so near. It’s been weeks since I have slept before 3

Can we all pull an almost-all nighter? I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep, anyways.

@schroscat Yah, but I rarely make a full meal. Mostly i’ll just do a stir fry or pasta dish or quinoa bowl and move on with my life–it’s a game to see how many vegetables I can force down at once and literally everything has to have kale, because California. Occasionally I love planning huge meals though–thanksgiving I am the sole master of the kitchen

You?

Countdown update??

1 day 17 hours 8 minutes 5 seconds

How likely is it that our counselors already know decisions? ^ referring to that one comment like 3-4 pages back.

I say not very likely…there’s just too many people (~1000) for the admissions people to individually call counselors

@lanflan I mean, I make a mean chicken soup. Browned flour in olive oil, add some fresh diced chicken breast, let it simmer, add some boiling water, vegetables, and egg noodles. Top it off with some lemon and hand-picked parsley as garnish. Otherwise, I make a great chicken dinner with sauteed vegetables and quinoa, in a chicken broth reduced simmer. :slight_smile:

This may have been addressed earlier in the thread but does anyone know whether or not SCEA has an advantage over RD other than the aspect of showing Harvard it’s your top choice?

@Lymanzerga Not very. There’s no logical reason for them to call your counselor a few days ahead of time, just to inform them of your decision

@ash223 Statistically speaking, you have around a 16% chance of acceptance rather than a 3% chance. But then again, we are going against the top students.

I read that someone here can make a mean chicken. Who might that individual be?

@Jinxxx The soup of a chicken. A mean chicken soup. raises hand

Anyone else here going through the crazy mood swings of “wow I’ll totally get accepted” to “I’m worthless why did I even try”?

@RandomRhino ME!!! AS ALL HELL!!
