I think the decision is sent in an email. Maybe it’s also posted on the portal too, but I’m almost sure they send an email that says the actual decision. At least that’s what my brother said they did 3 years ago when he got his.

Been lurking for a while now and didn’t think I’d make an account, but you guys seem super cool so I thought what the heck might as well panic together haha.
About decisions, I know they’ll send us an email telling us to check the portal, but like someone mentioned, do you guys think the email itself will give any indication? As in, will the subject line be “Congrats!” if you’re accepted or something?
I doubt it will, I feel like it will just say a decision has been reached.
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh it’s just hitting me that decisions come out TOMORROW
Does anyone know what the message looks like when you’re deferred? Like what do they say? Is it just “we can not extend an offer of admission at this time, but you will be considered for the regular decision round”?

@collegebound1096 do you need an email from harvard or can you just login to your portal at 4?
Last year I found out my results through my portal. I know some people that did not check right away, and they got an email saying that results were up. Either way, I think your portal will let you know. Don’t forget that with so many people checking that your portal might crash a few times before you can actually access your results.
