Good luck to everyone, anyone else willing to share where else they are applying
Can’t stop checking the portal
@bostonliving9696 BITS Pilani, Vellore, Manipal and a few more.
@bostonliving9696 yeah, I’m applying to Case Western, University of Rochester, and Johns Hopkins and I’ve been accepted at Pitt and at SUNY UB. Got a good scholarship at Pitt too. What about you?
These two are somewhat funny. (Admissions committee parody)

@Barcelona17 @eclucas98 I’m applying to ucla, ucsb, ucsd, umass, columbia, usc… From boston but either harvard or west coast lol
I’ve applied to university of California-Berkeley, and will apply at UPenn, Stanford, Princeton, university of Chicago, Caltech, university of Michigan etc., and a few universities back here in India like NISER,IISER,IISC, DTU, BITS Philani, etc… Guys Rice university is offering me a fee waiver… Should I go for it too? xD
@Barcelona17 applying to Brown, Yale, UPenn, Northwestern, applied to UF and Siena College’s guaranteed medical program, and got into USF with a full ride
@flautamagica wow we are applying to a lot of the same colleges!
for my region the results come out early in the morning! i’m not sure if i should sleep or not…
@flautamagica Any reason in particular why you chose Siena over others with guaranteed med? I applied to those programs at the U of R, Case and Pitt so I’m just curious as to what drew you to Siena.
@eclucas98 I liked Siena’s focus on community service. Also, I knew three alums from Siena and they spoke very highly of it (they’re all plastic surgery residents at UMass now!). Also, I was going to apply to Pitt but i visited Pittsburgh and was not a fan and I didn’t want to live somewhere I didn’t like for 8 years!
I’ve been observing this thread for too long now…time to jump in.
I know this decision will not define me and all of that, but man I need that extra push in my life right now.
This year has been bloody awful and I just want a little something to help me (and my family, really) cheer up a bit. It feels like more than just a decision. Anyone else feeling similar?
4.5 hours
@Indicud98 same. It’s not so much just a decision but something that I feel like will determine my mood for the next three months before RD…which is bad I know
@flautamagica I understand completely! Wish I had heard more about Siena when I was applying for the med programs, as I’m sure the deadline has already passed. Best of luck to you though!
@Indicud98 Yeah, I feel the same way-I’m just trying to focus on the fact that ultimately I’ll end up somewhere good and somewhere I like, and my college experience won’t be affected much by my not getting into Harvard, if that’s what ends up happening.
has anyone gotten the email officially saying decisions would be released today? there are like 4 hours until they come out and i’m getting nervous
All those in the Eastern Hemisphere. Let’s go to sleep people. Who knows, this might be the last chance we have for sleeping peacefully, whilst our American counterparts are studying in school.
was going through last years thread and I saw this:
"Hey guys, would really appreciate your advice with this. One of my friends who was an RSI participant was deferred SCEA from Harvard. She has 2370+ sat scores, near perfect SAT2, 4.0 UW GPA, numerous research publications, played at Carnegie hall, and did a BUNCH of other stuff including debate and key club.
She’s like in shock right now that she was deferred from Harvard (she just told me lol) and she asked me to ask the CC community if she has a good chance at RD. I read that going from deferred to accepted in RD is about 2% but in the 2005 thread I also read that many RSI/intel people were Deferred SCEA and accepted RD. any thoughts?"
Nervousness intensifies…
Is it possible that they are still evaluating applications? I contacted my regional admissions officer a long time ago about a supplemental recommendation letter, and he replied this morning saying that it’s in my file and “being utilized” in my evaluation… Any thoughts?
