Dear future self,
You got accepted into Harvard? Great job! You didn’t? So what? Harvard is missing out on having a wonderful person on their campus.
Harvard isn’t the end of this journey. Wherever you ended up going to college, you’re going to do great things. You’ve already gotten into Pitt and you’ll keep getting into great schools. It isn’t about what college you go to. It’s about what you do there.
Remember when you were younger and you knew you wanted to be a doctor more than anything? That you wanted to help others and make a difference? That can still happen. College is just a stepping stone to doing exactly that. And who knows? Maybe if you still want to go to Harvard, you can go to medical school there.
If you don’t get in, keep loving yourself. Don’t be discouraged. Accept the disappointment and move on. You’re an amazing person and you’ve worked so hard to get where you are. Don’t give that up. Keep doing your best and you’ll end up in a good place. You have a bright future ahead of you.
