@Ramaa i’m being honest haha if you are dedicated enough and are willing to work hard enough, you can be successful no matter where you study.
Deferred. It is kinda disheartening because deferred feels just like a maybe basically. Hard for me to work on other apps and figure out if I should do other prestigious schools if one of them said eh maybe. Good job to those that got in though!
@futurelegend yes, I got FULL RIDE!!! 0$ contribution per year!!
Congrats!!
Looks like I’m a little late to this thread but… HARVARD 2022!!
congrats @jswani
@crimsondream22 thats amazing! i’m just relieved that I can focus all my time on applying for scholarships instead of worrying about other college apps!!
@crimsondream22 by full ride, do you mean you still have $4,200 as student work??
@computerscreens I have 3000$ p.a. as student work-study, but I’m banking on some scholarship to dodge that.
@crimsondream22 by full ride, do you mean you still have to pay $4,200 as student work??
@crimsondream22 that’s amazing! Same here!!
@piranhavator - its not over yet but at least all the counties around the univiersities in Alabama went Jones.
@threeofthree oh, it’s over. Time to celebrate!
Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is for those deferred?
Congrats to everyone who got in (Here from Brown ED lol)!!!
Best day of my life
Harvard does not publish this data. I would suspect the rate for deferred students is around the same as the general RD acceptance rate, however. I saw a post from 2006 which had the following statement in the deferral letter, but note that the process has changed since then (early action was removed then reinstated, for example):
“Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is for those deferred?” As has been noted, Harvard does not publish that data. If the numbers from one HS Naviance are of any interest, based on ~120 applicants over three years, with a total of ~30 acceptances overall, only one was deferred EA then accepted.
Been lurking on this site for years… just wanted to let you all know HARVARD 2022!!! So incredibly shocked and excited… still… 5 hours later LOL
Honestly, thank you to all those who contributed to this community on College Confidential. I would have been a lost sheep without y’all. Reading through the results threads truly inspired (and intimidated) me to work hard. Hope to see you at Harvard this fall!
