Harvard University Class of 2023 SCEA Applicants

I didn’t choose particular topic for my supplementary essay. I just wrote what I wanted Harvard to know. In my essay, I shared my opinions regarding social equality and social responsibility. I also shared my attitude towards death. I cannot judge if my essay is good but I am quite sure that My topic choices are unique and innovative. Let’s pray and wait til 13/12

I have chosen Social Science when I applied to Harvard. I would choose East Asian Studies/ Social Studies if I could study in Harvard.

Does anyone know when the decisions are gonna be released?

December 13th, no earlier than 7 PM (EST)

Look like everyone already know except you. But if you will read second post upside you also will get idea

I’ve been checking up on this forum for the past 3 days - it’s like my social media haha

@oRcHiD4 LOVE #1453!!!

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

My guess is your chances for Harvard are zero. But don’t worry, Harvard Extension School is still an option. Come back and let us know how it turns out. :smiley:

@highhopes23 @x2019x

I’m relived to know I’m not the only Swiftie on here :)>-

Lots of love to you both!!

:slight_smile:

I used a theme park I’ve visited a lot as a medium to talk about my intellectual curiosity and desire to keep learning :slight_smile: I know it doesn’t sound like it works but I think it makes sense lol!

my common app is weird lol it doesn’t follow the traditional narrative that almost everyone follows in those books w/accepted essays to ivies so idk if that’s bad or good LOL

Hey has anyone received an email from Harvard saying when decisions will be released? I haven’t gotten one and I’m not sure we will get one since it was posted on the twitter page

my common app essay was about calculus… I have a passion for math but i want to go into medicine :smiley:

Did any of you other domestic applicants never get an interview either? Hilarious stuff. -_-

Rereading the Class of 2023 SCEA results, really not feeling good about my chances anymore.

@MaybeYale19 Seriously bruh… Stanford results were especially terrifying. People with activities better than anyone listed on here and tons of hooks were getting straight up REJECTED… Not fun.

@maybeyale19 You meant 2022 results? Those postings were a very tiny sample and not reflective of real cases as a whole.

@bruhinterviewme wait do you have an example of someone who was rejected you can send a link to?

Stanford likes to reject instead of deferring. All the Stanford EA applicants we knew from our neighboring schools were rejected. Previous years’ admits were mostly URMs and legacies.

Check out #18 and #29. I think I misjudged a little bit when I was first reading, actually.

I’m laughing my butt off at Cornell '23 though, HAHA. Go and read that thread if you want to a) feel better about your chances of going to an Ivy and b) feel really bad that you didn’t apply to Cornell early. Look at this mans #4. You would NOT be able to tell from his stats that he was Ivy-material, hahaha. Not to be mean, of course–I respect him greatly. He’s just not the typical try-hard.
