Has anyone been admitted to Rice University yet?

@DuaneReade: I think livegreen4earth is just curious about the stats of students who were accepted.

@livegreen4earth: You got to keep in mind that admissions to college is a crapshoot. Unfortunately, the people who most want to go to a certain school do not get in. Even valedictorians get rejected at Rice and all the other top 30 schools. In this case, these people move on- there is no point worrying why you didn’t get in. I suggest finding, if you haven’t already, a few more schools that fit you well and that you feel you will get into and apply to them (many schools extended their application deadlines). You can keep the option to transfer open, but that means you will have to do very well 1st semester (which can be very tough with all the transitioning and adjustments taking place). I suggest you come to peace with the decision, move on and find a good fit, and then consider transferring in the fall if you find yourself unhappy at the university you choose to attend.
