<p>Thank you everyone for your responses! Mostly what everyone has said is encouraging. I don’t have any information on airlines yet, but I would hope that they would not be traveling on a domestic chinese airline. Several people have mentioned problems with air pollution. Did anyone have problems with asthma?
The stay would be about 2 weeks, mostly in a hotel. There may be a day or two with a Chinese family. I don’t know who will be chaperoning, so not sure if anyone speaks mandarin or any other chinese dialect
We have traveled fairly extensively, so my kids have had the opportunity to see what life is like out of the U.S. (makes them appreciate home a lot more!). We have never been to Asia. This won’t be the only chance to see the world. I’m not exactly sure when we will have to commit to this trip. I want to find out as much as I can so I can make an informed decision.
