Hmm, I’m minoring in Economics and still unsure which of the upper division Econ courses to take aside from ECON120A, and B. Which of the upper division Econ courses are reasonable, yet interesting? Are the Operations Research courses worth it? Or should I stick with something like Corporate Finance? I’m more of a math person than memorizing random policies.

Operations Research is just matrix algebra/linear programming. If you like more MATLAB stuff, do that.

Corporate Finance … dunno. I did Math/Econ and not Management Science classes.

ECON113 is right up your alley if you like math. ECON171 (Decisions Under Uncertainty) is fun if you like risk analysis. ECON120C is the foundation of modern economic research since it touches base with simple time series/forecasting models.

Every class I’ve taken at UCSD I’ve received an A+. However, that is only two so we’ll see how this term works out. Mine were in Math 20C and 20E.

Got one in Poli 30

I got one in Physics 2A. I had taken AP Physics C but got a 4 on the mechanics section of the AP, so I couldn’t place out of it despite knowing all of the material.

I also got one in CSE 101. I thought the professor made the class way too easy, although people in the class seemed to disagree.

CSE3, absolute joke course, guaranteed A (A+ if you try)

got two A+s this quarter: in SIO15, which was an absolute joke, and in POLI11, which wasn’t that bad, but did require a lot of work.
