Has WFH Changed Your Outlook On Retirement??

Well, H just announced today he may NEVER go back to the office. I think I need to find a job once the kids (eventually) go back to school. Just… it’s ALOT of togetherness.

I feel very fortunate that for the majority of the time my husband and I have known each other (26 out of 35 years), we have worked for the same employer or for ourselves. We very rarely get on each other’s nerves. We feel like we’re getting away with something when we shut the office door and go sit in the hot tub at 3 in the afternoon.

I think H is really missing work. He is productive- does chores around the house, the grocery shopping and a lot of cooking. But even then I think he’s bored. We had both talked about retiring in January 2021, but he might work a little longer.

Mostly H and I work on our laptops across from each other at the dining room table. When I need to attend a meeting or record something , I go upstairs. When H needs to attend a meeting or record something, I go upstairs. Edit, adding  because it is not meant to be an actual complaint; I’m just more noise sensitive.

I tried going up to our bedroom for Zoom sessions but the WiFi signs isn’t strong enough. ?
