Have you used "Groupon"???? Love it!

Craig’s List is out; Groupon’s in. [YouTube Tops 2010’s Most Buzzed-About Social Network List](<a href=“YouTube Tops 2010's Most Buzzed-About Social Network List | Mashable”>YouTube Tops 2010's Most Buzzed-About Social Network List | Mashable)

I just bought my first Groupon today, $40 for $20 at one of our favorite local restaurants.
I love the idea of registering to see what’s up in my daughters’ college city.

Am giving some Groupons as stocking stuffers for my kids!

^^^Me too! S2 gets a Rihanna download, one of his favs. Groupon helped me shop for my husband, my father, my brother, two nieces and my mom. Already have a Valentines Day gift for my mom as well.

And I always check the Groupons in the kids college cities.

That’s a great idea abasket! My daughter uses groupon pretty often. I redeemed one yesterday at a small shop out in the country and I never would have visited without the coupon. I like how it makes you aware of the independent stores. I will now recommend this place to my friends.

Got my first stocking stuffer this am for the girls in their college city.

Groupon is today’s Ebates Daily Double: [Ebates Daily Double for 12/23/2010 is Groupon - Get Double Cash Back and Online Deals](http://www.ebates.com/promotions/dailydouble/index.htm)

Thanks, worrywart! Used Ebates to buy Mrs. Fields cookies Groupon, as mentioned on Your Good Buy of the Day thread.
Will send both of mine Valentines treats! (online only, use by 2/15)

gosmom, before you thank me, I just noticed that Mr. Rebates is offering 8% cash back. Oops :o

Well, 6% is better than nothing…

Sheesh, can’t believe I’m already thinking about Valentines! I haven’t even conquered Christmas!

You persuaded me to order the Mrs. Field’s deal as my very first Groupon. I purchased it in my own name. Do I understand correctly that sometime before Feb. 15th I can place an online order and have it shipped to whomever I want? Will the shipping charges be additional? I couldn’t find the answer on their site. Thank you.

worrywart, I bought it too. I am hoping shipping can be included, but I took a chance. I could not find the answer either. Someone asked this question, but they have not responded to the question. I don’t see a problem sending the cookies to whomever you want with in the US (I could see a problem with Alaska or HI). I have done this before with a brownie deal (sent it during finals week to my son and I’ll add that he loved them). I plan to send the cookies for Valentine’s Day too, or when my kid is swamped with work (whichever comes first).

In case you bought a Groupon and now don’t want/can’t use…

"Lifesta is a marketplace to buy and sell certificates from daily deal sites such as Groupon and Living Social. If you bought a voucher and now don’t want it, you can sell it. If you missed out on the deal because you didn’t react fast enough, you can buy it.

There is no cost to the buyer; the seller pays 99 cents and 8 percent of the sales price."

from our local tv station. Lots of restaurant dot com stuff, but a few interesting ones today (two nights in Pensacola - cheap!)

I loved Groupon and made a significant use of it in 2010…but since the new year, none of the daily coupons look interesting to me. Anyone else experiencing this?

starbright, yes, I agree. It seems that many are the same ones over and over again. I did purchase 2 fairly recently for sweet treats for my son. It is less expensive to send some of the Groupon care packages than if I made my own package and then paid for the postage. My son told me to please send as many care packages to him as I’d like because he loves receiving them! So, I have only recently purchased Groupons for care packages.

I’m about to place an order with Mrs. Fields using the only Groupon I’ve purchased. Wish me luck!

Ok, good luck worrywart! That is one of the ones that I purchased (those and the Fairytale Brownies).

That was easy! (But the shipping cost was outrageous. It turns out that you could’ve included shipping in the total Groupon value but I didn’t realize it until I hit “submit.”)

Well, if you want, you could probably call them and change your order. I did include the shipping into my Groupon!

I just signed up for Groupon. I am trying to figure out how it works. Do the deals come up at a certain time of the day? When I click on check out todays deal nothing happens for my city. When I change it to Chicago where I will be visiting soon I get listings.
