<p>I attended last year. Haven’t been to any other math program (yet), but it’s pretty laidback. You get free time from lunch until 5 when you can do whatever you want. That said, staff definitely pays attention to who pays attention in class/puts effort into problem sets. For the bedtime, they enforce the 11:17 curfew pretty strictly on weekdays, but on Saturday nights you can stay up pretty much as late as you want.</p>
<p>But as someone who had little exposure to math outside of the classroom before HCSSiM, I found it to be both a rigorous and enjoyable experience.</p>
