Yea, the deadline is after the semester starts and you can find the form on-line here http://www.usc.edu/student-affairs/Health_Center/docs/09-10.waiver.form.pdf

You can find out the requirements for waiver here:
[Health Insurance // SCampus](http://web-app.usc.edu/scampus/health-insurance/)

It’s important to examine your policy & also the one available at USC to be sure you have the coverage you think you do. A friend’s D had Kaiser but was badly injured at her U (not USC) & was given emergency treatment that cost LOTS of money (think tens of thousands of dollars or more) that was not coverred by her Kaiser policy & she had waived her student insurance so they had to pay much more than they ever recovered by the waiver.

That said, we have excellent insurance that provides good coverage for our kids even at USC. We have gotten waivers for our kids at the Us they’ve attended and saved the $. We will probably be purchasing the insurance next year for S because once he turns 22, he will be too old and no longer covered by the family policy. :(
