When my husband went to orientation, someone at USC asked him to show proof with a letter that our son has full health insurance coverage. I called our health insurance co. and had the company e-mail us a letter saying that our son was covered. My husband supplied the e-mail letter showing the proof of coverage. Even with the letter, my husband was told that the proof (letter) had to be reviewed at USC before being exempt from the university requirement to have medical coverage insurance. Since my son was not billed for the medical coverage, I assume the letter passed the USC review.
