<p>Really thanks for your advice. It really soothes my anxiety as to my concern about economics in UCLA, tosome extent.</p>
<p>I’m not saying that the econ department in UCLA has a bad reputation, but after reading some threads on cc about “econ thing at UCLA”, I found people here said that econ department being great in UCLA didn’t mean pro and lecturers there had high quality for teaching undergrad. Some pro are great, while some are not. That’s why the more I reach out to those info, the more I begin to doubt the education quality of econ department there.</p>
<p>And besides, I’e also learned that there’s nothing special required for one to major in econ. (But bizecon will require students to remain a certain kind of high gpa.) In this way, it really gives me a sense that econ is not that competitive, although it’s a popular major there.</p>
