Help? Comparisons/contrasts on U of R?

UR is compact. The gym and some of the athletic fields are tucked right into the main campus, next to the library and Commons. The science buildings are right up against the back edge of the traditionally designed Academic Quad. Some of the housing is a few minutes away, notably South, but most of the school is right there.

Yeah, Potsdam gets Canadian weather; all the air that goes above Lake Ontario and all that comes down from Hudson’s Bay. Noticeably colder. Lots of kids in school there though, which must help, though now crossing the border to go to Montreal is more of a pain.

I remember thinking New Haven was always dark and gloomy. And it certainly rains a lot in winter in Connecticut. I come from Michigan, which stays light about an hour later, so when it gets darkish at 3:30 in the afternoon, it feels like something’s wrong. Rochester stays light about 25 minutes longer than Boston. You notice that extra light.
