Apply immediately to Baruch. It’s certainly not your preferred fit but you need an alternative. If you got a scholarship from Temple you may be able to get into Honors at Baruch which makes things significantly easier there wrt community.. and red tape.

Green card processing depends on where the applicant is from. There’s often a 10-year backlog for families from countries that have lots of applicants.. and the current gutting of administration just made it almost impossible to predict.
