"Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) This is the federal form used nationally by all schools. This form is available at fafsa.gov.

CSS/PROFILE This form is available at profileonline.collegeboard.com. Undergraduates who choose not to submit a CSS/PROFILE application will not be considered for University scholarships and grants."

The above is right from the UNC website.

It CLEARLY says on the UNC website that undergrads who chose NOT to send the Profile will NOT be considered for any university grants or scholarships. So…if you want a grant or,scholarship from INC…the Profile is required. If ALL you want is a Direct Loan…the FAFSA will suffice.

I’m not sure I understand your issue. If your dad can and will pay, and you do not require need based aid to attend college…then what difference does it make if he completes a FAFSA…or not?

Or is he saying he won’t PAY if you don’t show him your essay?
