The advantage of SCEA at Yale is that, although you can’t apply anywhere else ED or EA, you can apply to as many schools as you want RD. (You can also file concurrent applications to schools, generally publics, that admit applicants on a rolling basis.) If you are admitted to Yale in December, it’s not binding: You’ll still have the opportunity to submit as many applications RD as you want, weigh all your acceptances/financial aid packages in April, and decide then where you’ll go.

You can probably switch your application from RD to SCEA any time before the SCEA deadline. Is there something you feel you’d learn during the interview that might change your thinking that Yale is your first choice? If so, wait until after the interview to make the switch (assuming the interview takes place before the SCEA deadline.)
