It sounds like you prefer Lehigh but as you noted you can do a business minor at Northeastern and for all intents and purposes, it’s likely a similar educational outcome. In fact, if you plan to be an engineer - a deadly combo is an engineer with an MBA - so you might hold off on the business aspect undergrad altogether.
When you go a 5th year, not only does it cost you, but if the job market stays current, in addition to more salary, it costs you $80K+ in salary.
So an engineering degree sans business at Lehigh might also give value - although I understand that you like the uniqueness of IBE. Honestly, to me it sounds like some marketing spin - they ‘created’ a new program type - sort of a sampler - and they are marketing it very well.
So in my mind, Northeastern is your better bet all the way around - but if you don’t want to go to Northeastern, that’s different.
If you are going to counter everyone, but Lehigh this and Lehigh that, I think internally, without realizing, you might have made your decision!!!
There was a story the other day about FSU and Ole Miss and the student couldn’t decide so did a heads is one, tails is the other. The coin landed however it did and the student said, I wanted it to land on the other side.
They had already picked a winner without realizing they picked a winner.
Could this be you?
