Help me choose reach finance schools that I have a decent chance at for regular decision [PA resident, 3.35 GPA, 1410 SAT, no parent contribution]

what math class do you have senior year?

The max you can borrow is $27K over the 4 years of undergrad. Anything else would be on your parents, either directly or as co-signers. Typically, it’s not recommended to take out anything above the $27K.

I don’t understand. Did you complete the application to Ross or just send transcripts and LoRs?

Both reaches for you, so that could be enough reaches, especially if you sent in the entire app to Michigan.

Have you applied to at least one affordable (defined as not needing more than $27K in loans) highly likely school? What other schools have you already applied to?

I second SMU. Maybe also look at Lehigh and Bucknell, but run the NPCs to see if they are affordable. Other ideas: Bentley, IU Kelley (you won’t have direct admit, but you could petition and if still not accepted could do the standard admit after freshman year…you would be accepted to IU), U Dayton, Marist.

A 1500 SAT is not going to compensate for your lower grades. Colleges will look at extenuating circumstances like the move, but that’s not going to entirely compensate for the grades either.
