Help me decide: William & Mary vs University of Washington Seattle [$42-44k for both]

Both schools have a fairly intense academic vibe. Have you visited? Where do you want to live after graduation?

Do you have a source for this? Not challenging you, but I would want to be sure vs. having just heard it from somewhere that can’t be verified.

I agree with others that UW’s outcomes likely aren’t better for econ (I would see these schools as equals but we don’t have good data on econ), you should speak with each career center. There’s probably some chance you switch majors as well…it will likely be difficult to switch to Business/finance/analytics major at either school. Minoring would be easier.

W&M is secondary admission to the business school, with a 24.8% acceptance rate per this article: Raymond A. Mason School of Business in the Top 10 Undergrad Business Schools to Watch in 2024 | William & Mary School of Business

For W&M, you might contact them to get econ specific data, which falls under arts & sciences on this report https://www.wm.edu/offices/career/about/outcomes/cc_careersuccessreport_2022-23_final-002.pdf

It’s not clear what the internal transfer admission rate to UW Foster is (at least I don’t see it…they take some proportion of the class direct admit and some standard admission, as well as leaving room for CC transfers each year), another thing you could ask.
