Help me find a good LP grill!

Glad you like it, BB. Rarely on CC (or anywhere) will you find as much consensus on consumer purchase recommendation. Most people seem to agree that a Weber grill costs more… but it is worth it.

If your grill came with a white binder/cookbook take a look. DH has really enjoyed ours. (Not sure if it came with grill or was separate purchase).

Weber has the distinction of completely reinventing the charcoal grill (with the kettle shape). And, completely reinventing the gas grill 30 years later with the invention of steel bars over the burners to replace the old lava rocks. The result is loyal customer bases in both segments. There’s room in the market for lower priced competitors in the gas grill market. And, there’s room above Weber for ultra high end grills and cast iron smokers. But, Weber dominates the markets they are in.

I think my Dad got his first Weber charcoal grill sometime in the late 1960s. He (and I) have owned nothing else since except for the little Hibachi I had in college). Buy one, get more years out of it than is reasonable to expect. Replace it with another one when it finally collapses to the ground.

My cute little portable camping grill and cast iron grates arrived.

Not as fancy as the Weber gas grills, but a lot easier to put in the trunk of the car!

Awesome. :)

I really need to get used to the fact that the new grill cooks soooo much faster and better! Mr B was absolutely sure that we’d run out of propane tonight, but by the time I got the food off the grill, the tank was still going strong.

I-dad,
that really is cute! I may break down and get that one.

BB. We have a propane gas log in our fireplace, and therefore a rather large propane tank. The installers put some kind of doodad on the thing and our gas grill is now hooked into the huge propane tank. We never run out…and that tank is on auto refill. :)
