<p>netbook is a windows laptop, its just smaller and lighter, with 10" screen. Just bought a few for my daughter and wife. The computer comes with wi-fi, but no wireless and the DVD is extra external attachment. You can get wireless version, but it will cost $500+ so mind as well get an ipad. Of course the wireless data plan will cost you around $40/mo.</p>
<p>The hp sold in costco ($379) has a separate operating sytem of its own, in addition to the normal window 7 basic. As soon as you open the box, it will provide a web broweser with wifi, skype, music and several others. More importantly, the HP oerating system catches no virus, so not to worry about anti-virus systems. If that is all he needed, the box is great, although we opt for the cheaper Acer ($279) which has Windows 7 basic only. I recommend the costco HP netbook option as it can be returned in 90 days, no questions asked.</p>
