Help me make my decision (sorry...UCLA vs UCB again)

ha thanks for sparing us.

ciao- I remember you were plannning on maybe switching out of psych after transferring… are you still signing up for psy 100A Fall quarter if you plan on switching?

no, i’m not. i called the history department a few weeks ago and they told me to go with them during orientation. I guess we’ll eventually get separated by major sometime that day and i’m supposed to go to Bunche Hall if i am planning on switching majors. So to answer your question, no I’m not planning on enrolling in any psych classes for the fall. why waste time you know?

ya… I’m so confused now. lol I just looked at all the Psych classes and there are prob only 3 that I would be interested in taking. A lot of the classes are far out! either mind molecules or lesbian experience?

I plan on going to grad school anyway so my undergrad major isn’t necessarily as important but I want to enjoy what I am studying! Poli Sci is impacted and would prob be difficult to switch to huh?

yeah i know what you mean. i still love psych but when i found out that it’s more scientific/theoretical that really turned me off. and yeah, we could always study psych in grad school. Well honestly idk if it would be difficult to switch into poli sci, you should def. call their dept. The man I spoke to told me that for me it would not be difficult but on the website it shows history as impacted. So you should just try!

thanks. I would have a lot of classes to take prereq for poli sci too. hmm I have a lot to think about!

i know, i have to take a look at all the pre-reqs i need. it may be a little difficult, but i rather graduate knowing i studied something that i love.

ya for history there are not many… maybe 3 or 4 and you have prob already taken 2… :)

Picked UCLA. Berkeley’s better for me on paper since it has the better program. At UCLA I’m stuck taking a lot of classes I don’t want to take because of their less preferable program. But I love UCLA. It’s the perfect place for me and I can hardly imagine going anywhere else.

Good luck everyone! Go Bruins!!!

^congrats, and good choice :D

Thanks UCeric! Where will you be going?

I still haven’t made up my mind. Things didn’t work out so well with UCSD so I might be going back to JC to finish up my math classes and try to get in to UCLA as a Math Econ or Applied Math major for Fall 2011.

Well it’ll be better in the end anyways since UCLA is awesome, haha. Good luck.

Congratulations, Arcade! GO BRUINS!

History majors: Which school did you feel had the better program? What factored into your decision one way or another?

@OP, berkeley.

edit

just seen your “pick”.

if you could decide that halfway through the second page, why ask? reading your posts you didnt seem much interested in UCB anyways, probably because of the financial aid package.

^did you also see this thread is a year old as well haha :D

It’s funny seeing my posts from a year ago up there, and it’s also kind of cool that everything worked out for me and I’m going to UCLA this fall… go Bruins!

that is great.

why would someone bump this year old thread?

congrats on choosing UCLA:-)

just realized this thread is a year old!! lol
